What’s The Difference Between Painting And Galvanization On Rubber Joint

Rubber joint consists of flange and rubber ball. Both of them are important. For the surface treatment, there are galvanization and painting. Then which on is better? Let’s talk about it.

Rubber soft joint is mostly used in the connection of pipes which need noise reduction, shock absorption and displacement absorption. Same as long distance steel pipe, the connection of pipe sections need such joint. However, the function of rubber joint is not that simple as connector of long distance pipe. Galvanization

Because any residue, waterlogging or stain will cause bad influence to the galvanization effect.

Painting

Another surface treatment of rubber joint is painting. It’s to spray paint on the flange surface. Paint can protect flange from corrosion, but the effect is not good as galvanization. Besides, the dry paint layer is easy to fall off. What’s more, it’s expensive than galvanization with longer working time.
