How often do N95 masks change

N95 masks do not have a fixed replacement time. The dust concentration in different environments is different. The use time of each person is different. The dust holding capacity of various N95 masks is different. The maintenance method of using N95 masks will affect the service life of N95 masks.

There is no way to specify the specific replacement time of N95 masks. When any part of N95 masks is damaged, broken and lost (such as nose clips, nose clip pads), and when the apparent resistance to breathing increases, the entire N95 mask should be discarded.

95N95 mask is one of 9 kinds of dust masks certified by the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. “N” refers to particles that are not suitable for oily; “95” refers to a filtration efficiency of 95%. The N99 mask has a filtration efficiency of 99%, and experts recommend wearing the N95 mask once every two days.

N95 masks are generally used for 24-48 hours; R95 masks are used for about 8 hours; P95 masks are much longer than N95 masks, and the working time can reach 40 hours or 30 days.

N95 mask should not be worn for a long time. Because N95 masks are industrial dust masks, their tightness is good, and it is easy to cause people to have difficulty breathing, hypoxia and so on. If it is foggy weather, citizens do not need to wear N95 masks. They can choose KN95 masks or KN90 masks that conform to the national standard, or they can wear general medical masks to resist most pollutants.

When you find any of the following three conditions, please replace the N95 mask immediately:

1. N95 masks are contaminated, such as blood stains or droplets;

2, the user feels that the respiratory resistance becomes larger;

3. N95 mask is damaged.
