The explosion of the twin welding hose has always troubled many factories. Why explosion when using twin welding hose? How to avoid? Orientflex are willing to help you.
Fire and explosion due to tempering
Tempering generally involves feeding oxygen-containing air from the outside into the pipeline, creating a flammable condition that leads to a more dangerous explosion. Gas cutting operations require a large output of oxygen. Compressed pure oxygen is a strong oxidant, because tempering often burns out the conditioning hose. If a flashback occurs and fuel enters the oxygen hose, the twin welding hose can no longer be used and must be replaced with a new one. If you keep using it, you will lose your normal security.

Although the low pressure gauge shows the working pressure, the pressure suddenly drops when oxygen is used, and backfire is very likely at this time, which may transfer the oxygen hose and cause an explosion. Therefore, the valve of the handset (or oxygen line) connected to the high pressure end of the oxygen should be fully opened to ensure adequate flow and stable pressure.
Due to wear, extrusion, corrosion or poor storage and maintenance, the hose is deteriorated, weakened or leaked.
Pay attention to the usage of welding hose
You must take care when storing and using the twin welding hose to keep it clean and free from damage. For example, avoid sunlight, rain and snow, prevent contact with acids, soda, oils and other organic solvents that can damage the hose, and the distance from the heat source should be no less than 1m. When the new twin welding hose is in use, the talcum powder on the inner wall of the hose must be blown off first to prevent the channel of the welding torch from being blocked. In use, avoid external extrusion and mechanical damage, and avoid folding the hose body.
