PE PA and PP corrugated hose look the same but quite different from each other
Silicone rubber coated fiberglass sleeving is a material to protect hose and cable. It can resist high temp, wear and corrosion. And it widely serves in steel factory, power plant, ship building, etc.
1. First, strip off a certain length of insulation from the wire or cable that need insulate protection. Then expose a certain length of metal conductor.
2. Then, put the fire resistant sleeve over the wire or cable. Make sure the sleeve is long enough to cover the part that needs to be insulated and protected.
3. Next, use a tool such as a heat gun or a match to heat the sleeve. So that it shrinks and fits tightly against the surface of the wire or cable.
4. Finally, check whether the casing completely covers the part that needs to be insulated and protected. Besides, make sure the surface of the casing is smooth, free of bubbles, wrinkles and other defects.
You should note that when using a silicone fiberglass sleeve, choose the proper sleeve size based on the diameter of the wire or cable. In general, the inner diameter of the silicone sleeve is the same with the outer diameter of hose. In addition, ensure that the material and heat resistant temp of the sleeve meet actual needs.
