It was transparent yesterday, but now it suddenly turns white. Can I still use it? No problem, you can continue to use it. From June to August, when the temperature and humidity are severe, the transparent PVC hose used will always have the same white turbidity as frosted glass.
What is white turbidity phenomenon
This is a “stone” phenomenon that often occurs in PVC hoses. It appears more frequently in PVC hoses with high oil resistance. PVC hose is mainly composed of PVC resin and “plasticizer” that can soften the hose. There are not even tiny gaps between molecules that water (when liquid) can enter. But as the humidity rises, the water turns into a gas, and the size of the water molecules becomes smaller. This greatly increases the possibility of it entering the hose layer. At the same time, as the temperature rises, the bonding force between plasticizer molecules weakens. Over time, the intrusion of water molecules becomes faster and easier. Water molecules entering the hose will diffusely reflect when encountering light, resulting in white turbidity.
In addition, in a hose with high oil resistance, the molecular volume of its ingredients is large. Therefore, the frequency of white turbidity phenomenon is greater. But water molecules cannot bond with each other in the hose. Therefore, when the humidity decreases or water molecules seep out naturally, the hose will return to its original transparency. Therefore this phenomenon does not affect product quality. Please feel free to use it.
