When these hoses aren’t in use, proper storage is key. Winter storage is especially critical: cold temperatures can freeze, crack, or damage flexible hoses if you don’t take care. So, where and how should you store flexible hoses in winter? Let’s break down the best practices.

1. Prioritize Indoor Storage (The Best Option)

The top choice for winter flexible hose storage is indoors. Aim for spaces like garages, basements, or storage sheds. If you have a heated workshop or utility room, even better—consistent warmth prevents cold-related damage. Indoor storage shields PVC flexible hoses, rubber flexible hoses, and silicone flexible hoses from extreme cold, freezing, and excess moisture. This simple step extends your hoses’ lifespan significantly.

2. First: Drain All Water from the Hose
