PTFE
As the “king of plastic”, PTFE has excellent cold and heat resistance. It can work at the temperature from -180℃ to 260℃ for long term. PTFE has great resistance to acid, alkali and all of the organic solvents. Besides, it will not dissolve in any solvents. In the meantime, PTFE has low coefficient of friction, which means it can make the hose transfer fluids smoothly. Besides, it’s corrosion resistant with excellent inertness to chemicals and solvents, which make it a proper material for chemical hose.
FEP
FEP is suitable for chemical hose because it has great chemical inertness. Similar to PTFE, FEP has excellent chemical stability. It will not corrode by other chemicals, but it will react with chlorine trifluoride in high temperature. Besides, it has excellent non-sticky property, which makes the fluids flow smoothly inside the chemical hose. The max working temperature of FEP is 250℃ and shortly reach 270℃.
PFA
PFA has outstanding chemical corrosion resistance with excellent conductive property. It has similar chemical medicine resistance with PTFE. However, it has higher creep property, tensile strength and compress strength. It’s specially suitable for anti stick and chemical industry in high temperature condition. While the max working temperature could be 260℃.
FPM
FPM has excellent heat, oxidation, oil, corrosion and weather resistance. It’s mainly for vehicle, petroleum and household electric appliance usage. FPM has the best high temperature resistance as silicone. Because it can work at 250℃ for long term.
EPDM
EPDM has excellent aging, weather and ozone resistance. When use with other rubbers like NR, NBR, CR or BR, EPDM can act as inhibitor. Besides, it is resistant to acid, alkali, solvents, oil and alcohol. It can work at the temperature from -40℃ to 150℃.
NBR
NBR has excellent oil resistance and heat resistance, which can work at 120℃ for long term. But it not resist cold weather and water.
