Common connection methods of PU steel wire hose include: thread, flange and clamp. Which one is to choose mainly depends on the specific application and medium.
First, clamp connection
It is the most common method which mainly used to transport granular or powdery media.
Advantages: easy to install and disassemble, and the cost is also the lowest;
Disadvantage: It is not able to seal. If the liquid or air passes through, there will be leakage.
Flange connection
It is common with large diameter, and the medias are mostly powder, gas, and liquid.
Advantages: Can be completely sealed and can withstand a certain amount of pressure
Disadvantages: it is difficult to tear down and install. And the flange and hose are integrally formed and have a fixed length. Besides, you can not tear down the flange and hose. Thus the cost is high.
Thread connection
Commonly used in the connection between hoses and used to lengthen hoses
Advantages: It can play a sealing role. And it can pass through powder, gas, liquid and other media. In addition, it can withstand a certain amount of pressure.
Disadvantages: high cost, one-piece molding, and hoses are also fixedly produced.
