Peristaltic Pump Hose
Peristaltic tubing is fitted in a peristaltic pump – there the rotor with a number of rollers or shoes compress the tubing and forces liquid or semi-liquid substances to move. Peristaltic pump tubing is made from extremely flexible rubber (natural rubber, NBR, CSM, EPDM, silicone and other), resistant to compression, friction with an adequate level of chemical resistance. They can also be textile reinforced.

The peristaltic hose is specifically engineered for application on peristaltic pumps. It is designed and manufactured for long operational life and minimized cost.

We learned the working method in the last piece that the roller drives the fluid in the hose to move forward. This requires the hose must have elasticity, which means the hose should return to normal after the extruding. However, the fluid rate will not be exact if the hose can’t return to the normal shape.
We know that the roller rubs the outside wall of peristaltic hose constantly, so the hose should be abrasion resistant. Good abrasion resistance can not only avoid the flow turn to large, hose release and inexact low, but also cause huge maintain work. Thus, abrasion resistance is an important index.
Pressure resistance is another important index. If the system pressure beyond the max working pressure, the hose will expand and cause it over-abrasion and even burst.
Peristaltic hose requires excellent tightness, because the medium is fluid. If there is any leakage, that will cause big problem.
The fluids in the hose are always chemicals and other corrosion fluids, so it requires the hose has excellent corrosion resistance. Besides, it also requires good temperature resistance and aging resistance.
